Art Dolls

Art dolls are typically made with hand-sculpted parts (such as the head, hands and feet) and soft sewn bodies. An armature is made and put inside of the bodies for pose-ability.

In my personal exploration, I use air dry or polymer clay and utilize felt in the creation of the body. I switch between using yarn for hair or synthetic hair. Each doll is carefully hand painted, and clothed with handmade clothing and incorporated found objects.
